About the

Bakers Fly-In and Policy Summit

ABA is bringing ALL wholesale and retail baker organizations together to voice our shared concerns with lawmakers in Washington, DC. By joining forces with the Retail Bakers of America and the American Society of Baking, this policy summit and fly-in will include wholesale bakers of all sizes and product types from across the country.

Not a baker? Please still attend. Many of the challenges that our industry faces also impact the industry’s suppliers. We believe in our shared strength and know having the entire baking supply chain present for these visits will lead to powerful results. We look forward to seeing you and your team at this free event.

WHAT TO EXPECT FROM THE

2026 Fly-In and Policy Summit

From The Experts, To The Experts

"The more participation you have, the more you can get from not only the ABA, but we can also affect regulation and policy upon the Hill. You want to be a part of the action and not watch the action. Our collective voice is much louder than our singular voice."

Hayden Wands
VP of Global Procurement, Commodities, Grupo Bimbo
ABA Commodities and Agricultural Policy Professionals Group Chair

"ABA fights the fight every day in Washington for us. I don't know how we would do as an industry without ABA in our corner. They've got the hand on the pulse of what's going on within the industry and they have the right relationships in Washington to fight the fight."

Dave Watson
Food, Baking & Snack Subject Matter Expert, The Austin Company
IBIE 2022 Committee Member

"The American Bakers Association's deep connection with governmental agencies and the scientific community provide baking and supplier companies, of all sizes, with the resources to stay ahead of food safety and regulatory changes and challenges."

Meaghan Meyer
SVP, Food Safety & Quality Assurance, CraftMark Bakery
Co-Chair, Food Technical Regulatory Affairs Professionals Group (FTRAC)
